Depeche Mode has been my favorite band since I first heard "Violator" 18 years ago, or so. Every time I hear my favorite song, "Enjoy the Silence", it still makes me ache.
I've watched my "One Night in Paris" dvd a million times. Never gets old.
You can't beat "Black Celebration"!
I LOVE Dave, but I still have the love for Martin. His lyrics are amazing.
My blog is looking a little too empty and pristine, so I'm pretty much just filling up space, but this is definitely a good space filler.
Waaaaaay back in the day, I was on the drumline in high school. Yup, the good ole Port Neches-Groves High School Indian Drumline.....kick ass!! Anywho, we had this cadence that we liked. It had the cheesiest (no, unfortunately there were no 'cheeses' in this typically easy cadence) name; Bad Bass Groove. Something had to be done. We couldn't go around playing "Bad Bass Groove".
My friend, Amanda, who played snare (I played quads) and I liked this show, In Living Color. We'd blurt out lines from this skit all the time, so ta-da! That was the birth of Pork N Beans.....PORK N BEANS!! The drumline plays this cadence to this very day and still calls it by the appropriate name. Now my cousin's son who was also my lessons student is the drumline section leader. It's in the genes, I tell you!!!!
